The Merete MetaFix® Plantar BG10 system is an innovative, user-friendly and angle-stable implant system for a safe stabilisation of Lapidus Arthrodesis. The proximal medial arm of the plate allows an optimal and neat initial fixation which greatly simplifies the placement of the other locking srews. The biomechanically optimal plantar tension band placement allows an early weightbearing and encourages a rapid mobilization of the patient. The MetaFix® Plantar BG10 system was developed in collaboration with Dr. med. Bernd Gaudin, Clinic Hygiea Berlin.
Features:
- Stabilization of Lapidus Arthrodesis due to the plantar plate and the dorsal leg srew
- The proximal medial arm simplifies an optimal and neat initial fixation by using locking srews
- The low profile and anatomically shaped plate is available in two sizes (small and normal) for the left and right foot
- The approved Merete MetaFix® instrumentarium is used
- MetaFix® LS locking screws Ø 3.0 mm and Ø 3.5 mm and the Merete Cannulated PCS srew provide rigid fixation of the osteotomy
- Optimal coverage of the plate through soft parts e.g. abductor hallucis
- Perfect correction of moderate and severe deformities
- High primary stability
- Two k-wire holes allow temporary fixation of the plate on the bone
Indications:
- Hypermobility of the tarsometatarsal I joint
- Arthrodesis TMT-I-Joint (modified according to Lapidus)
- Hallux Valgus
- Revision of failed osteotomies
Material:
- All implants are made of titanium alloy TiAl6V4 ELI, ISO 5832-3
