On this year’s German Congress of Orhtopedics and Traumatology (DKOU) in Berlin, Merete displayed itself with new products and a newly designed exhibit. For the first time, Merete presented EPICAL®, its shortly approved new method of treating titanium implants for the positive stimulation of bone growth and for December 2011 announced MetaFix® Plantar BG10, a new plantar locking plate for treating Hallux Valgus with the arthrodesis of the TMT I joint according to Lapidus.
Along with a well-frequented booth in hall 15.1, Merete hosted two lunch workshops covering the topics „Great Toe Joint Prosthesis: experience and techniques with Merete ToeMobile®" and "Septic Prosthesis - what now?" Both workshops were well attended and after interesting presentations and the ensuing discussions, a consistently positive conclusion could be drawn.
